Solo trip: Castle exploring in Lancaster

My 2nd solo trip of summer 2023 was a short but sweet local day trip, to Lancaster. I’d never been and I’d always thought it looks like a nice place, out in the countryside.

The main attraction I was there to see was Lancaster castle, I love a good castle and this one did not disappoint.

After the castle, I walked through the town and some of the countryside. It’s a really picturesque town, especially in the summer.

It was a short visit but I ended it in a pub along the canal, it was so nice to just sit on my own by the water and make the most of the sun before leaving.
