Easter Weekend at the nicest house in Wales

This past weekend, we travelled down to Wales to visit our close friend who we’d not seen since last year. He and his wife live out in the countryside in Flint, in Wales. It’s extremely rural, proper countryside!

He’d sent us a few hotel and Air BnB options to choose from, and one of them was this really amazing country house, we had to go for this one! I kept saying it the whole time we were there but I felt like I was in Downton Abbey.

The couple, Llinos & James, who own the place told us that the house has been in their family for 100 years, you can really feel how old it is and it’s so nicely kept. They were so nice and friendly, we spoke to them quite a lot about the house and the area. Llinos even cooked breakfast with freshly grown eggs from the chickens they have in the garden, and she also made toast out of bread that she’d made herself. It was incredible.

The garden was so nice, it was absolutely massive and was nothing but green and views of the sea.

They also had the sweetest animals, there were 3 cats and a super friendly horse and dog!

They’ve got a great life out there!

We spent the rest of our time spending time and catching up with our friends. There’s a castle right opposite the train station though so we went to check it out before we left. (I do love castles).

If you want to check out that Air BnB, I can’t recommend it enough! They only rent it out to one person or one couple or one group at a time, that way you won’t end up sharing the bathrooms with people you don’t know. Apart from Llionos & James, we were the only 2 there and it was perfect. Of course I left them a raving review! We’ll absolutely be staying there again.

Here’s the link for the house if you are interested!
